Five Sources Blog Post

Today, I will be discussing in this blog post about my personal top five news and media outlets starting down at the bottom of the list and going all the way up to number one.
The first website I like to use is a platform called the Daily News. While this particular website isn't the always the first to stay up to date on up to the minute news, I can always find the particular section, or category, of news I'm looking for. It's almost like a filter for the news if there were such a thing. The Daily News covers any topic from the most current pandemic, COVID-19, to reading about horoscopes if readers are believe in such a thing.
Number four. Everyone with internet knows about one of the biggest social media platforms online. I'm talking about YouTube. The media platform where you can find just about anything from your favorite song to up to the minute news on COVID-19. Most people who know about this platform for having your voice heard upload videos to it, not all videos are accurate or even good enough quality wise to understand what you're watching on the screen. YouTube is one of the major social media networks which allows anyone and everyone to post whatever they will so long as they follow a few simple guidelines. Right there is one reason it's not the most reliable source for information. For anyone, including myself, who does like to stay up to date with the website, being careful and noticing who is posting what is a top priority. Who knows, you could be getting what you assumed to be "reliable information" from some complete stranger who has no idea what they're talking about. It's anybody's guess really. It's easy for this platform to stay on top but it's not always the most credible.
The website I chose to put above YouTube was none other than BBC News. While everyone might not agree on how much they use this particular website, it sure is well known. BBC News covers not only news from the United States, but also news from other countries outside of our boarders such as Australia. While I will admit YouTube has that same value and perk to it, I personally feel it's less reliable than BBC News as not just anyone can upload something to the website. BBC News covers a vast area of subjects from technology to the entertainments and arts.
This next one might be a bit of a shocker as it's well known but not the biggest source for news outside of D.C. I'm talking about The Washington Post. I chose for this to be number two because everyone wants to know what's going on in the state that houses the president of the United States and where life changing decisions are made. The Washington Post could definitely expand its area of news, but it's not called The World Post. Readers of this website know what information they're getting and exactly where they're getting it from. Let's be honest, we all want to know what's going on in D.C. especially this close to Inauguration Day.
Finally, the number one spot goes to CNN. Why you ask? CNN as live updates straight from their website as well as access to their Live TV. Fast is what American's strive for. How else would you explain fast food? Fast network, fast technology, fast improvements, fast food, America wants fast no matter what the subject is. CNN delivers straight to your screens from anywhere you can connect to WiFi or has a TV. What I just said might sound like an ad for a company but it's true. CNN gives the country the answers it wants about anything current.
It's true every one of these websites is pretty much all about the upcoming Inauguration Day and Trump's possible impeachment at the moment. But it only means they're doing their jobs at delivering the news. While everyone may not agree with my assessment, these are my top five picks for where you can receive information and news.
